For various reasons to do with where I am at in life I have decided to allow myself the indulgence of finally writing some essays on various philosophical and political issues that I have been thinking about and discussing with friends over many years. These are not academic level papers, but rather they are simply attempts to capture, share, discuss and thereby improve my thinking on these issues.
All of the essays will be listed on the right of the page under 'Essays' separately from the actual blog posts. I am hoping to write about one essay every two months over the next year or so.
The first essay is about the nature of reason which seems like an appropriate place to start such a series of essays. Before publishing each essay I am trying to have some face to face conversations with friends about initial drafts of the essay and I thank everyone who has given feedback on this first essay titled: Dialects of Reason.
